Entering Sooke BC by passing through Lake Cowichan and Port Renfrew is a 135 km (80 mi.) trip along a paved and active logging gravel road through lush overgrown forests. The back door Sooke drive takes you over mountains, beside meandering rivers, dropping into the Lizard Lake and Fairy Lake area eventually breaking through the tree line into Port Renfrew.

Continue to head south using the coastal West Coast Road enjoying a scenic 74 km (46 mi.) drive south passing China Beach, French Beach and other fabulous parks located just north of Sooke, BC.
